Travel Grant Reimbursement Instructions |

Awarded network members have been provided assistance of a maximum 140 € for the Nobel C. elegans meeting, December 11, 2008 in Stockholm. The following methods will work for reimbursement (methods 1 and 2 preferred):
1. Have your university bill Kuopio University using the reimbursement form.
2. Have your group leader collect the receipts, fill out one reimbursement form in the name of the group leader, and send to Kuopio University.
3. Collect your receipts, fill out the reimbursement form, and send to Kuopio University.
In addition, we will need your FULL NAME, NATIONALITY, BIRTHDATE, and HOME ADDRESS.

An exchange grant has been awarded to PhD student Sanne Gottschalk for studies on the bacterial response to Antimicrobial peptides, bacterial genes important for virulence, and nematode genes important for the response to pathogens. The exchange will take place during January 2009 between the Thomsen Lab (Copenhagen University, Denmark) and Swoboda Lab (Karolinska Institute, Sweden). The value of the award is a maximum 5.700 NOK (~630 EUR). |

Forty (40) travel assistance grants have been awarded by the Nordic C. elegans Network for travel costs incurred to attend the Nobel Prize C. elegans Reception in Stockholm on December 11, 2008. The value of each grant is a maximum 1250 NOK (~140 EUR) per person. The name of the recipients and their affiliations are listed in the attachment. The NordForsk network steering group has decided to set aside a maximum of 50.000 NOK for travel assistance to attend the NOBEL C. elegans meeting in Stockholm on December 11, 2008. The assistance is strictly application based and can cover travel only, no housing. The value of each award depends on the number of applications received. To apply, each GROUP LEADER from the Nordic C. elegans network should send a list of travellers from their group to the meeting that lists the name, status (PI, post-doc, student, other), and sex (M,F) to garry.wong (at) uku.fi and peter.swoboda (at) ki.se by 22.11.2008. Notification of awards and their value will be made early during the following week. |
